Krish is the founder of Asian consulting practice, Jeiva International Pte Ltd.

The industry practices of Jeiva are in life science, renewable energy and nanotechnology. Jeiva is the Asian partner of ISIS Innovation, which is the technology transfer company of the University of Oxford.

Krish leads regional strategy, market entry and new business development for clients, and helps to drive their technology to market launch and revenue. Recently he has been involved in the product and manufacturing development of an orthopaedics company which will make bone regeneration implants using rapid prototyping techniques, and an Asian manufacturing strategy for a European medical device company.

Prior to this, Krish has had over 20 years in management and marketing in companies such as Pharmacia, Novo Nordisk and Novozymes. In his last corporate position, Krish was Director of Market Development for global emerging markets, and led development projects and initiatives in a region spanning South America, Eastern Europe, Middle East/ Africa, and most of Asia.

Krish is also co-founder of a successful and award-winning molecular diagnostics company based in India.

Krish is actively involved in life science industry associations, and is Executive Council Member and Treasurer of BioSingapore. He is also a Charter Member of TiE, which is the world’s largest organisation promoting entrepreneurship.

Mr. Eric  Loh Chee Mun

Senior Vice President

Biosensors International Group, Limited

Mr. Eric Loh Chee Mun is the Senior Vice President of Biosensors International Group,Limited and is the head of its investor relations and corporate communicationsdepartment and also the head of Asia Pacific Human Resource department.

Prior to joining Biosensors in 2000, Mr. Loh was with the Singapore Government and was responsible for identifying and developing medical device technology companies worldwide through investments and management. Since joining Biosensors, Mr. Loh first served as Head of corporate business development before serving as Managing Director of our Singapore operations. In November 2004, Mr. Loh was promoted to his present position as Senior Vice President. Mr. Loh received an honors degree in Electronics Engineering and a Master’s degree in Medical Engineering from the National University of Singapore and has an Executive Master of Business Administration from the Helsinki School of Economics. Mr. Loh also received a Graduate diploma in Financial Management from the Singapore Institute of Management.

Mr. James Lim

Vice President/General Manager, Central Asia Pacific and Operations

Becton Dickinson and Company

Mr. James Lim is appointed in April 2008 as Vice President/General Manager of Becton Dickinson Central Asia Pacific & Operations.

James joined Becton Dickinson in 1994 as Engineering/Facility Manager of BD Medical (Singapore), and after a 3-year assignment in R&D, he became Plant Manager of Becton Dickinson Tuas Plant, Singapore. In 2003, he was appointed as Director of Operations, Asia Pacific, where he was responsible for the regional Manufacturing organizations and Supply Chain function.

James is a Malaysian and holds a Mechanical Engineering Degree from National University of Singapore.

Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTech)

Ms Jenny Ang is currently the Chair of the Medtech Manufacturing Initiative of Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTech). She is also the Head of the Product Innovation and Development (PID) Section and a Research Scientist of the Innovation and Commercialization Department of SIMTech. Her PID Section has been providing consultancies and assisting companies in designing medical devices such as disposable scalpel, safety needle, kid tooth brush & flexible heating body warmers etc. As the Chair of Medtech Manufacturing Initiative, she also helps to formulate strategy within SIMTech to spearhead Medtech manufacturing technology research and development to meet the industry needs and challenges. Her current research interest is in the areas of Product Innovation and Design, Medtech Manufacturing Technology, Medical Device Development, Sustainable Product Service System and Innovative Service.

Dr Lim Chu Sing, Daniel is an Associate Professor at the School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering at Nanyang Technological University. Prof Lim’s research focuses on various aspects of designing and testing of medical devices (such as biosensors and implants), as well as microchip-based techniques to investigate combinatory drug-herb-serum outcomes on different cell types. Prof Lim holds an adjunct appointment with the A*STAR Singapore Institute of Clinical Sciences Brenner Centre for Molecular Medicine and serves in the committee overseeing biosafety and risk assessment issues in the School. During his tenure, he served as Director of NTU’s Biomedical & Pharmaceutical Engineering Cluster and the multi-disciplinary Biomedical Engineering Research Centre. He was also seconded to the School of Chemical & Biomedical Engineering between Year 2005 and 2007 to serve as it’s Vice-Dean. Prof Lim is Chairman of the Bioengineering Technical Committee and serves as Council Member in the Institute of Engineers, Singapore. Prof Lim has authored over 150 publications and is a grateful recipient of various prestigious awards, including the Singapore Foundation Award for Education, National Academy of Science Young Scientist of the Year (Finalist), Prime Minister’s Office TEC Innovator Award, Tan Kah Kee Young Inventor’s Award, and the Rotary Club Young Executive of the Year (1st Runner-up).


Mr. Matthew Connors

Director of Operations

Merlin MD

Prior to joining Merlin MD, Matt worked for Micrus Endovascular Corporation as Senior Process Engineer. In total, Matt has over 14 years of process and manufacturing engineering experience with various companies such as Boston Scientific, Fox Hollow Technologies and Vascular Architects. He has first hand knowledge of process validation/verification to support ISO/CE and FDA Regulations. Matt holds BS in Mechanical Engineering from Boston University.
